TWO BAM

Questions we hear a lot

The short answers live here. The long answers live in the guides.

The answers

Is this American mahjong or Chinese?

American. The tells are everywhere in our work: 152 tiles (19 stacks × 2 high, ×4 players), jokers, flowers, and the Charleston. A 17-stack wall or a no-joker set is Chinese — a different game with a different rhythm. We stick to the American table, except in clearly flagged comparison guides.

Why is the one-bam a bird?

Because it is. In American sets the 1 Bam is always a perched bird on a bamboo stalk, never a single rod — it is the number-one insider tell. We draw it feather by feather for exactly that reason.

Do your designs copy the League card?

Never. The annual card is copyrighted and we respect that completely — no card hands, hand lists, or layouts appear on our merch or in our guides. Every notation string you see (like FF 0000 22 666) is invented to teach the conventions, not lifted from any card.

How does Two Bam make money?

Two ways: our own original tile-engraving merch, and affiliate commissions when you buy recommended gear through our links (as an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission). No brand pays for placement in a ranking.

How long does merch take to arrive?

Everything is made to order: 2–5 business days of handling, then shipping. Most US orders arrive within 5–10 business days total, with tracking emailed the moment it ships.
